Media Relations

Responsible for securing media placements and putting together journalist/bloggers suites for events.

This is a role that requires attention to detail, flexibility and commitment to results:

  • Ability to build and maintain close working relationships with target media including national/regional editors, producers, reporters, writers, bloggers and key influencers.

  • Ability to oversee and write all press materials including press kits. Other written materials include but are not limited to: press releases, pitch letters, bios, backgrounders, interview answers, trend reports, speeches, etc.

  • Experience fostering relationships with key brand partners: editors, publishers, marketing, social media and event personnel.

  • Ability to constantly identify new editorial media opportunities and conceive relevant and attention-grabbing pitch ideas.

  • Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to present PR activities/plans at internal meetings.

  •  

  • Manage all aspects of event execution: timeline, collateral, guest list, contracts, vendor relations, budget & post event analysis.

  • Capture and obtain pre and post event publicity coverage.
